thank you for your reply my budget is as little as possible lol just bought the computer so rather pushed for cash at moment he has a 22" screen at the moment

You are looking at upward of £300 for a reasonable entry model 27” 1440p

it then comes down to type of games, FPS type games etc.

To justify and make use of the 3070 then have a good look and read of reviews for 1440 monitors.



Display Ninja is a good starting point, then read through various reviews from different sites (not Amazon) before buying.



Amazon do have deals on at moment.

really depends what your actual budget is.

thank you i will have a look around now i have some idea of what to look for its for my son i have no idea about what t0 look for if the budget can stretch to it he may get it as an additional xmas present if not he might have to wait till his birthday thanks for all the help much appreciated

I would suggest working out how much budget you can realistically put into the monitor whether it is now or whether it is in 6 months time (or whenever his Birthday is). His current monitor, whilst not ideal, at least means he has something to use...which meanss you can take the time to get the right monitor.
