A little side project

So guys,

As part of my fum Lockdown activities, apart from building and loving Behemoth, I decided on another challenge, to see what could be done with a £300 laptop, sans Windows, particularly gaming, but also as a travelling developer's "cheap" laptop. I have been developing, over time, a personal flavour of linux, (Dalix - no ego lol)

I wanted to see what could be done.

I have installed dalix, and using google stadia, am successfully playing Red Dead Redemption 2, amongst others.

Will post pics, and I guess a link to a video so you can see just how well it is working - arrived on Tuesday, and working on it out of hours but so far, amazing results - no issues at all running dalix (blitzed the demo Win install )

Anyone interested in seeing?

RDR2 won't really ring any bells with me. Can you run Firestrike? Normal HD test? That would ring true with my brain.

Regardless though, gaming on a laptop at a playable level for 300 spondoolies is fantastic.

Absolutely noted, Scott and this is going to win no speed contests - but that it can be done for 300 ish is and without windows, is quite interesting. As I said, a little side project. I can travel (when we can again) and not worry too much on potential loss.

I'll keep you posted on the limits
