Hello,
This is my laptop: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers-for-next-day-delivery/127/
I have recently purchased a laptop with Nvidia Optimus, and while watching HD videos I noticed that my CPU %usage would go up to about 50%.
I also play a game called Runescape (2007 version) which also runs on the CPU and takes up around 40% ( 2 Clients loaded up)
So that is nearly all my CPU being used while my graphics card is doing nothing.
l had a quick look online and it appears that for HD Video my graphics card should kick in, but it doesn't and I can't seem to force Chrome/Firefox or IE to use the card as the options are greyed out and not click-able (unlike in the Nvidia tutorial video.)
The graphics card does kick in for games on steam, so it is working fine for that.
I also have my Graphics card as the preferred graphics processor.
Thanks for any tips you could give me,
Kris.
Edit#1 It appears to have started working for a twitch stream, lets see if it keeps working.
