A reasonable PC

I'm looking to buy a PC for around £350. The only games I want to be able to play on high/med settings are Skyrim and WoW. Is this asking for too much with such a low budget? And if it is possible, what fps and resolution would I be able to play these two games in?

I appreciate any help or advice

Do you have any HDD, or OS that you could use. I think it would be rather tough without those too. For WoW it is mostly just CPU power that you need iirc so a nice I3 should do you well.

No I don't, but I believe I can get windows 8 slightly cheaper, as I am a student.

For your budget I don't think you are going to be able to get a system that can play Skyrim at medium settings or higher at 1920x1080 resolution.

I'd have to agree with the others on this. About the closest I could get for a bare bones system which would run those games okay would be the following, but it doesn't have an operating system so you would need to add that to the cost (it doesn't have a monitor either, so you would also need something to watch it on).

To be honest I'd save up a bit and wait till you can afford something a little better. You really will be struggling with that setup and once you've added your OS to it, etc then you're going to be closer to £500 rather than £350 (I'm assuming you'll need word as well as a student). You could build something half decent for £500-£600 but I can think of nothing worse than spending £350 on a brand new rig, whacking in a new game and then having to put all my settings down to low... You might as well be playing it on an xbox or ps3.

Sorry that my post isn't very supportive at all. It's just without a decent monitor to play on, you'll effectively be playing on an xbox/ps3 anyway and the only difference will be you can't play WoW on them which is why I'd suggest waiting a little bit until you can afford something decent. Like I said, I'm pretty sure you could buy an i5 setup for £500-£600 if you tried.
