Some questions you will need to answer for the experts to give their advice:

- what monitor do you have or are planning on getting - resolution and refresh rate?
- what is your maximum budget?
- what do you want to do with it - what sort of games are you looking to play - examples. Anything else?

Can you also post the link to the quote/build above as it saves people time to look at this as your baseline and amend it to show you what is best.

Eeesh, £750? You’re not even going to be able to get a system that’s capable of doing 1080p at a decent level, unfortunately. You’re looking around double that budget...

Okie dokie , thanks for your help. Better to stick with a lesser monitor ?
Honestly... better to save a bit more if you can. We can help spec a system that’ll last 7-10 years with the right upgrade path, but you’ll need a decent budget to get a good base build. I’d normally recommend around £1100 for the system 👍

In regards to the above system would it be able to run games at 1080 , as like i say i dont really need a 1440p capable machine, the only reason i was looking at that monitor is because i had a good deal on it

here is an example of a monitor i would consider https://www.very.co.uk/lenovo-g27c-...8IQyadxjsuDpSVIr4xsaAsDrEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

It would manage about 1080p 60fps, but it wouldn't be recommended, it's sacrificing too many areas and is not upgradeable at all. It would be a throway system after a year or so, we would spec a system for not much more money that would last 7 - 10 years.

Would you be able to give some advice on a system around up to 800 or so pounds or tell me some general specs
. im not intrested in and RGB lighting as the pc would be out of sight under a desk

No, we woudn't recommend anything below about £900 for the above reasons.

Prices have risen enormously due to general stock issues with Covid, at the moment what we could build for about £750 6 months ago now costs around £900.

What system would you recomend then, at that level then

This would be good for 1080p 144Hz and is a strong platform for upgradeability:

Sorry for all the questions but what’s the benefits of the upgraded psu
It allows for upgradeability. The first bottleneck will be the GPU, as time moves on, games need more power to run, so after a few years, you’ll need to upgrade the GPU to keep playing at the same level or higher. The PSU will cover you for that upgrade.

Hi this is my first gaming pc, im not after anything to crazy just the ability to run games like gta v, fh4 at mid to max levels. Would be a plus if it could handle some CAD work on Solidworks/AutoCad although this is not necessary. Budget of £900

PLEASE NOTE. i was going to go with the GTX 1660 super , although because it was not in stock it would not let me proceed so ihave selected this GPU to allow me to post the spec.

I am quite new to this so i expect there to be errors.
