Hi,
I am looking to get a cheap gaming PC for my 60+ year old father who i have recently got into gaming, can you advise if the below is sensible? Only looking to spend around £600 to £650. Please note that i will likely be giving him my RTX 2070 Super when i can finally get my hands on the 3090. I have taken off SSD so as not to confuse him as he would install everything on that and not the hard drive.
My dad tends to enjoy games like The Divison 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint / Wildlands, he isn't too bothered about amazing graphics as long as he can get a stable 60fps and quite happy playing at low to medium on 1080p.
The monitor he uses is about 21 inches 1080p. My big concern with this spec is being bottlenecked by the CPU and limited by the chipset, mainly because i will be giving him my old 2070 super as i mentioned. I am also installing a spare 8gig DDR4 ram to bring it to 16GB total hence why only one 8gb ram in the spec:
