Hey y'all.
My laptop's gpu recently crapped out and now only runs on the integrated graphics. Rather than paying £350 to replace the gpu, Imma try and sell the laptop. Doesn't really make sense to shell out that amount of money for a gpu that was beginning to become a bottleneck for me anyway. Kinda sucks that I have to part ways with it after 2 years (I was hoping for at least 3), but now I have the freedom to get myself something better
My ideal price would be around £800, but depending on how well my laptop sells I may be able to stretch it a little. I'd like a machine that is capable of maxing out BF4 and holding 60fps. I don't even plan on playing that game, but that's the dream right?! Maybe I'm aiming too high for my price range... or maybe not? You tell me.
I will also need it to be easily upgradeable in the future. This is the main reason I'm posting here for your help. I have no idea which motherboard is best suited for this, or if there's anything else I need to consider with this in mind.
I'm willing to buy the parts individually and build it myself if that would be cheaper than buying from PC Specialist, but from previous experience that didn't seem to be the case; maybe I looked in the wrong places? It's also nice having PCS on hand for support if needed.
Not needed: Monitors, OS and Peripherals.
