only minutes after i claimed i wouldnt ask more questions, do you think 750 GB is a big enough HDD, its much bigger than my current PC and im sure it is, someone just asked me about it

It's definitely more than enoughf or a primary drive. I have over 60 games and countless apps installed on my desktop 1TB HDD primary with over 300mb free.

quick enquiry, someone mentioned that, although i am going to be desperate to get this laptop after exams, it may be a good idea to wait till August, they said most places have new laptops coming out in may-june and the prices of the old ones can be significantly reduced by a month or 2 later, just wondering if this is true of PCSpecialist?

well if you are getting a Vortex then you may as well get it whenever you want as i imagine there wont be a new one for at least 2 years, same with Skyfire, and same with the viper when its released

@dangro474

how good is the 650m and when is it going to be released?

maybe someone else can answer the question?
also doesnt optimus have problems with cooling?

Chasis wise releasing a new one would not really make any sense, at least not until a new mobile socket becomes available, and as of yet nothing has been announced.

I know it was a month ago that you guys gave me advice but i was intending to order my laptop at the end of this week, then i noticed that the Radeon 7970M is set to "preorder no ETA" any ideas when its likely to be ready?

a quick question though, i was just going to get the glossy screen but thinking about it, the screen on the desktop im currently using is matte and reflections on the screens of other things (ipods etc) can be annoying, which screens do you guys have? Is it worth getting matte instead?

I would recommend a Matte screen, however it is personal taste. If you plan to use the laptop outside or in a variety of places, the Matte screen will probably be better as it will stop reflections. The colours may be a slight bit worse however I feel that it is the best option.

Pretty much every screen I've ever owned has been glossy, and I've never really had any problems.
All depends on what kind of environments you're going to be using it in. If you'll be doing a lot of stuff with it outside, then Matte will be the way to go.

just a quick final few questions so i'm sure i'm getting the rights thing. Is it worth getting the dead pixel guarantee? Whats the likelihood of ever actually needing it? And also under the blutooth and wireless section, is it worth upgrading that area? I only ask because Dangro left that unchanged in his first post.

I'd say no to the dead pixel guarantee. It's not likely that it will happen. Also, unless you have any bluetooth devices that you use regularly then there is no point in paying extra.
