AMD laptops - any reason they're so rare?

AMD seem to be focused moderately towards the laptop space with their APUs being less impressive than the Intel range when it comes to processing muscle but (seemingly) quite well rounded with graphics capability. Is there any reason that there's not an option included by PCSpecialist for these?
I'd guess that it's demand being too low to justify any stock/space on site (although of course how does one judge demand for something one doesn't sell?) but there seems to be a general lack of interest from most vendors, in the UK at least, as well.

I've been able to find just one laptop available with the A10-4600m (a Samsung model including a 7670m, priced around £600 - although on a 'ordered on request' rather than 'in stock' status, presumably it is available) with other versions seeming to be available only in other countries, mainly judging on forum comments / reviews.

1. Demand on AMD laptops is very low.

2. AMD do not produce notebooks for the channel - the concentrate on manufacturing for the big brand names and have no interest in companies such as PCS.

If AMD made notebook CPUs readily available we would stock them. Their loss... :(

Thanks, I thought it might have been something more than just point 1. It's a shame that AMD doesn't do more to promote itself really.
