Another one....Spec check/help

Okay so I ordered a build with an Intel CPU before I was looking on forums, which we won't talk about so I went ahead and made an AMD build:
I'm not 100% about the specs if the 5900x/ 5950overkill or if I need a 3090 which I can't justify the price of the actual benefits for me.

What’s your max budget?

What gaming monitor are you pairing it with, what resolution and refresh rate or make and model if you’re unsure?

Damn thanks for that fast reply though, absolute max ill go is 3.2k. An Acer predator x27(4k 144hz) monitor which is what ill go for from doing research for monitors that pair well with the 3080. Also from lurking on forums I've learned that there are people on here that have fun making beast pc set up ;)

And what's the reasoning behind the drive setup?

I don't know much space I need for the projects will be doing but, 1TB HDD is just for everything that isn't games/projects related which probably isn't that much, 500GB - OS and 2TB for games and everything else I need. For the most part, this was just a guess of how the setup.

This is far better balanced:

CORSAIR OBSIDIAN SERIES™ 750D FULL TOWER CASE

Damn, I don't even know what to say, much appreciated with everything. I'll be cancelling my current order and purchasing the build you kindly made! Quick question though, would you say this is like a "perfect build and wouldn't change anything else? Just curious as I wanna be 100% sure with ordering.
P.S thank you again, much appreciated for you taking the to help me!

The only sacrifice I made was the 1TB M2, I would have preferred the Samsung 980 Pro, but it's currently out of stock. If you put the order through now though, you can amend that when they're back in stock hopefully in January. Amending a build doesn't change your position in the queue at all.

The other thing I would personally change, but this is purely a personal choice aesthetic thing, nothing to do with the quality of the build, is the case. That one is quite an old school box. Personally, I'd swap it for something like the Fractal Design 7 or either of the BeQuiet cases. They are currently quite light on case options, I'm quietly hoping we'll see some new options hit the configurator in January, again, you can amend the case should you wish one of the new ones later on.

Other than that though, it's really a dream build without any compromises. You've got a perfect budget range which allows for some luxury options. That CPU is going to absolutely blow your socks off both in games and render times! It's a lovely build.

Since I'm ordering a 5950x ill be at the back of the queue anyway. I hope I can even change CPU from a 10900k to a 5950x otherwise Ill have to cancel and lose my GPU place. I hope the monitor that I picked was even a good pair with the GPU too!

Yeah, you'd have to cancel your current order and reorder as they're two entirely different platforms.

That sucks, I hope it doesn't take too long for the refund to come into my account...I need to buy this build asap!!! On a side note if i had 3 amendments for the PC order will i be refunded for the whole order? How long typically does it take for a refund to happen?

Bump.....
Quick question....would it be wise or any benefit to switch GPU's to an AMD 6900xt(in stock) or 6800xt?

6900XT is expensive for very little gain, but either would be used in your system, so grab whichever.

If you want ray tracing then you'll want nvidia, if you're not fussed, then AMD is well worth it.
