For a £1,700 machine i would advise this as a slightyl more rounded build.

Intel® Core™i7-2600 Quad Core (3.40GHz, 8MB Cache) + HD Graphics Most of the savings in this build stem from this processor platform, the i7 2600 is pretty much identical to the i7 3820 just a good bit cheaper. For gaming you wont see any differance at all. Even for video editing the performance gain is very small indeed.

ASUS® P8Z77-V: PCI-E 3.0 READY, WIFI, SLI, CROSSFIREX Very good motherboard, unles you have your eye on a specific feature of the sabertooth then you don't need it.
Memory (RAM)
8GB SAMSUNG DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 4GB) I selected 8 because it is plenty enough for now and a few years to come really, if you want 16 then it wont do any harm to get it, depends on your intened uses for the system also.
Graphics Card
2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 680 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready Fastes card out at the moment, better than the 580 by quite alot, much more important than the CPU if your gaming

KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW) I ment to add an intel 520 series here, much better than a cache drive as it's the same price but you get to pick what you load onto it. If you load your OS + main games and applications it will be better all round.

Yeah best stay away from the highstreet for a high end gaming rig, the above will eat every game available and will be able to play all the latest games for years. Possibly not on absolute max settings, but it will lats for a long long time.

Thank again. Just checking, as i wanted to go the fast root and the intel 520 series is not available. Anything else to suggest for the 1st Hard drive? Is the 120GB INTEL® 520 SERIES SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 550MB/sR | 520MB/sW) any good or would i notice a drop in performance?

I was saving a quote myself with the fast track service and saw that some SSD's were pre-sold, and have since enquired about it, and PCS said they should have the SSD's in the next few days, although I'm not sure when exactly.

I've heard that the Intel 520 is one of the best performing SSD's at the moment, better than the Kingston.
