So as the title suggests, does anyone have any suggestions on what can be improved on?

Flexible with budget, and I will be purchasing https://www.overclockers.co.uk/giga...led-backlit-gaming-kvm-monitor-mo-00e-gi.html for my monitor as after some digging that ticks the boxes I want (but open to suggestions here too)

I'm pretty sure that I've seen the TUF Gaming X570-Plus as being recommended on other posts for that CPU, also 750 is the minimum recommended for the 3080 so normal recommendation would be to go with the 850 RXm, you don't need the soundcard as onboard sound these days is exellent

Is it just gaming its being used for?

Your monitor is 1440p so the 3080 is overkill. You could save yourself a fair amount of money and wait time for your build by switching to a 3060ti which is more than enough for 1440p.

If you want that CPU as well it will need a better cooler as its a bit of a beast, you won't need the sound card either as onboard sound is great.

What are you going to be using your build for? It's nice to be flexible on budget but there's no point splashing 4 grand on a PC when you can get a machine capable for your needs for 2500.

Thanks, the build is mostly gaming and will be using it for the odd bit of work, but nothing intensive on that side of things.

My thinking was that the 3080 could ensure I could game at 1440p at 144 for the foreseeable future. At the time of making the build, the 3080 was only like an extra 80 quid compared to the 3070, so figured if it got me an extra 6 months/year down the line, would be worth the extra.

In regards to the CPU cooler, what would be a good replacement?

Made a few edits, most notably to cooling and storage. The 3080 is way overkill for the Gigabyte monitor posted above. You either need to downgrade to the 3060ti (or 3070 if you like graphics cranked up) or look for a better monitor; a 4k 144hz or my personal recommendation, a 1440p Superwide like the Samsung Odyssey G9
