Any thoughts on this laptop?

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of buying this laptop. I'm not sure yet if I take the 15,6" or the 17,3" but the Vyper seems to be my first choice.
I'm really not sure if I wait until end of July for the new AMD 4000 series to arrive (That's what PCS told me).
An other thing I'm concerned is the heat. I've read a few negative reviews regarding temperatures on PCS gaming laptops.

Looks good apart from the SSD. Will 512gb suffice? 2TB is the recommended these days. Hell, i installed 5 steam games and it took up 500gb.

if you want you can choose recoil iv 15' inch it is also thicker with mechanical keyboard therefore should perform a bit better in cooling even if its smaller, i think vyper is 20mm and recoil 27mm thick? i would personally go with recoil IV but i do like bigger screens, dont expect them running ''cool' as those both are 8 cores cpu's, if you want you can wait for 4000 amd like pcs said but i dont think they will come with higher cards than rtx 2060, wish i am wrong but for now its not happening. anyway both are perfect option we have to wait for a review for both laptops how they perform in cooling.

Thank you for your answers. I'm actually thinking about the Nova now. It seems like a really good machine as well. Do you think the thermals will be better despite the Desktop CPU ? Arent the temp limits lower for desktop processors ?

Sorry I don't have a link but someone has posted their nova thermals on the forum and they seem to be pretty nice.

Yes I think I will go for the Nova. I was just wondering why the Arctic MX-4 thermal paste is available for every laptops except the Nova.

I don't work for PCS but I would image if you phoned them after placing your order they might add in a different paste for you? It's always worth asking anyway.

I've asked them and here is what they answered. The Nova laptop uses its own unique thermal compound solution given its configuration, along with the Octane series laptops due to them using desktop grade components in a small chassis.

I think it's time for me to order mine!
