I’ve just ordered this lapper as my first gaming machine. Is it okay or should I upgrade the GPU?

In any laptop, the first bottleneck will be the GPU and you can't upgrade it at all, so it's best to configure the highest you can, plus if you've got a 240Hz screen to make use of it you will need a lot more than the RTX2060

Also, you don't want the Intel SSD, any other would be better, the Intels have low write endurance and fail earlier than others.

You also need 2666MHz RAM as a minimum.

32GB is likely overkill for the system but if the budget is not an issue then it's a fair spend.

Personally I wouldn't fork out for the 2080 Max-Q either. I think they are over-priced. If the 2070 is an option then that would be my choice.

The Evo is a great drive.

The RAM is overkill but, it didn't make much difference cost-wise when I switched the GPU (impulse buy/upgrade).

I've only had Apple products through work (14-years). I decided to give Windows a try with my personal money. Hopefully, this lapper will last 3-years...
