I swear your posts are getting lazier DM...just a YT link now?!
But let's ignore that for a second and analyse the information we do have.
We have a name. This name is made up of three words. Let's look at each word.
Ark: Immediately this makes you think of animals, perhaps on a buy-one-get-one-free holiday.
Survival: Could be a reference to things under real threat of being wiped out, as they use the a fore mentioned "Ark" to escape a catastrophe.
Evolved: On its own this emits a feeling of transition from old to new. Coupled with "Survival" though, it tells us that the situation is new and that how whatever animals from the "Ark" survive has changed.
So, animals; threatened with what some might call extinction; potentially evolving to survive.
DAMMIT DM! You made me comment on ANOTHER DINOSAUR GAME didn't you, DIDN'T YOU!
I've been playing this for a few days, it's absolutely great. Looks live the Dev's are in for the long haul and there are near constant updates coming out with new content and optimization. A real breath of fresh air in the Early Access space.
I think it means that you can go between servers and keep your level(XP). You would lose all of your items, tamed Dino's etc. Still unsure if this is available yet though.
"You can even physically travel your character and items between the network of ARK's by accessing the Obelisks and uploading (or downloading) your data from the Steam Economy! A galaxy of ARKs, each slightly different than the previous, to leave your mark on and conquer, one at a time -- special official ARKs will be unveiled on
the World-map for limited times in singular themed events with corresponding limited-run items! "
How much resources does a server for this require?
I have a server with the following specs:
-Intel Core i7-3930 (6 cores/12 threads)
-2x HDD 2,0 TB SATA Enterprise
-1x SSD 120 GB SATA
-64GB RAM
-1Gb/s ethernet connection
I was wondering what size server i could set up with 8GB of RAM and a couple cores of that? Any idea?
