Armoury Crate / CPU fan speed all over the place.

So i got my new setup last week. Been playing but I didnt realise that the fan on the CPU were quite loud. (I have air con running next to me in this heat so it wasnt immediately apparent).

I looked into things and noticed that I have this Asus Armoury Crate software pre-installed thats running the lights and the CPU fan seemingly. Out of the 4 options, Silence, Standard, Turbo and Full Speed, i hit Standard and the fan immediately drops to a nice quiet flow. CPU (Ryzen 5900x) running at around 40c idle still, hit around 60c+ under load (or Resident Evil Village anyway). It appears to ramp up and down as necessary so when it works, it appears to work fine.

Now, when I restart the computer, it doesnt automatticaly start the Armoury interface but there service seemingly does, however the fan kicks in at the original loud, high speed until I start Armory Crate and press the Standard button once more.

Is there something wrong with Armoury Crate, some option im missing to make this change stick? Is there better software? My old PC from PCS didnt have any of this and ran fine, ramping up and down without anything else. I can usually work out software but i freely admit I have no damn clue how to work this fancy ass RGB stuff and if I had to lose it to smooth this issue out, I dont mind.

GPU and case fans appear to be unaffected by any of this.

So its not really a issue once I start Armoury, but it is an annoying little thing I have to do which i'd like to not do.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

EDIT: sorry, I forgot the spec

Hi mate, that looks like a solid build but I'd be worried about that CPU cooler and CPU combo. That cooler seems like it would be woefully underpowered and the Frostflows are pretty unreliable. I would recommend keeping a close eye on the temps

As for the loud fans, that would be fairly standard with a budget CPU cooler like the Frostflows which are just generic parts

You should be able to configure the fans from within the BIOS too - so that will be in place from start-up.

But I also agree that for the 5900, the Frostflow cooler will not be anywhere near as good as a Corsair Capellix one.

yeah, i'm not worried about the noise and the temps have all been fine so far; it was more the inconsistent startup of the fan controller./Armoury Crate.

i'll look into the bios i suppose. Thx.
