Hi there updated my bios recently , and managed to get the ram set up to its rated speed of 3200mhz, enabling docp and setting the profile speed for my ram , so all good, Just a question out of interest if possible.

In the ram frequency options in the bios asuus tuf mb , there is a list of different ram speed options, if i wanted to try a little oc, would i just select one of these at a higher rating that my 3200hz rated ram and try it ? and this would set a new ram profile ?

Thanks

Firstly, I hope you checked with PCS before updating your BIOS or you will have invalidated your warranty...unless, of course, your PCS system is no longer in warranty

As to the speed, 3200MHz RAM on PCS systems is usually an overclocked speed anyway...whether 3600MHz is possible depends on the RAM. EVen if 3600MHz is possible, if you have 4 sticks I wouldn't recommend it as ASUS motherboards currently have issues with 4 sticks of 3600MHz RAM

To be honest, most uses would likely see no benefit from upping the frequency anyway....3200MHz is more than ample for gaming...when I gamed, 3200MHz presented me no issues, albeit with a middling game like Forza
