Beep sounds - Gigabyte AORUS Ultra Gaming MOBO

Hi guys,

My PC recently started to give me a long beep when it boots up the system. So when I turn it on, it gives me a short beep, which has always done. But after the first pc specialist screen where I could choose to enter BIOS - it starts to boot the system and gives me this very long beep (like 5 sec). After this it normally starts and it seems that no problems are related to this, but is just a bit weird as it was not present before.

I did not find anything related to this in the Gigabyte website as everything seems related to several short beeps after the long one, and not the other way around.

Any help / hint would be super appreciated :)

I'm not at all sure that this 5 second beep is a POST error code, I know of none that are quite that long. I would suggest you unplug everything except the mouse and keyboard and see whether it happens in that state. If it does I'd re-seat all RAM and other cards and check connectors etc.

Could it be that is one of the fans that is failing? Suddenly before the long beep one of the two (case) fans stop spinning and it reactivates only after these 5 seconds beep while the other one just keep on spinning from the beginning.

I have no idea, but it's possible. Try disconnecting the fan and see whether it still beeps?
