Best motherboard for overclocked 6700k?

My main priority is the audio quality, as well as suitability/support for overclocking. Have absolutely no clue what to pick.

Thanks :)

The Z170X Gaming 3 seems popular. It has decent enough overclocking support and a fair feature set (ALC 1150 audio, SLI support, USB 3.1 A and C, etc). Not bad for the price. It has good reviews:

The Asus Pro Gaming would be a good choice but PCS don't sell it with 3000MHz DDR4, so it basically rules itself out of most build recommendations.

If you want something really premium then the Asus Hero is an option, but I think it's meant a bit more for overclocking enthusiasts. If you're likely to stick with the PCS 4.6GHz overclock and you don't have a specific need of the features it offers that the other boards don't you can probably save yourself the cash.

Excellent! Thank you very much for your quick and detailed response, I really appreciate it. I'll probably end up going with the gigabyte board :)

I would also go for the Z170X, the only time I would go for the Asus would be if I was feeling particularly affluent. I love the ASUS boards but they don't give you the same value for money that the Gigabyte ones do, it's not justifiable in spec, only in "want" :D
