Beyond a joke

I ordered a Pc in august this year and it arrived in september. I've had nothing but trouble with it since its arrival and i'm now incredibly frustrated. The computer is a decent build it has 4 gig of ram a 2gb 460GTX and an amd 1055t processor but all that counts for nothing as soon as the internet starts mucking around. If its speed drops slightly i hear a horrible audio buzz and get a split second freeze and this happens on youtube and on internet based games aswell. I play games on a wireless network with my brother and even those games lag like mad when they shouldn't. I downloaded an MMORPG and my ping was 33,000 + earlier! My brothers computer is a good couple of years older than mine and it out performs my one! His ping is a decent 63-78ms whilst playing the MMORPG and mine is in the the thousands. The internet performs well on his computer and awful on mine. We are both wireless users and i am using the edimax wireless card which i have come to learn through my horrible experience that it is useless. I even tried a recommended fix for this game and it worked for about 2 minutes.

Please any ideas on what i can do to speed the internet up will be very helpful. The internet service can't be the problem as it works well on my brothers computer. It just frustrates me that my computer is brought to its knees by a little internet speed drop.

Thanks

Three quick ideas. This isn't your computer's fault.
1. Check your router is using a channel that isn't conflicting with your neighbours. (Turn it off and scan for other routers, see what channels they are on.).
2. Test putting your machine near the router. Does it now work?
3. Switch to wired. A Cat 6 cable doesn't cost much and always works.

Thanks for your help and ideas i will have to consider the cable as its just impraticle moving the computer closer to the room with the router in because that room doesn't have many plug sockets and they are all being used. I have to disagree however and pit all the blame on the computer. My brothers older computer doesn't have this problem and connects to the internet and maintains a low ping on online games. The whole idea of including a wireless card with my computer was for simple convience but that is now rendered useless by this terrible wireless card that came with the computer and anything that requires a internet connection becomes a chore. Very disappointing.

I can't see which card you have installed because the email address you are registered on the forum with is not the same email address that you placed your order under.
