Blu-Ray drive disappearing after sleep

Hi guys,

Strange behaviour on my PC. Only recently noticed it, but may have been happening before.

Have two optical drives - a Bluray ROM and a DVD RW. Running Windows 7 64 bit.

After leaving computer duplicating the disc, process finishes and all is okay if system is active.
If I walk away and the system goes to sleep the duplication finishes, however the system then looses the blu-ray drive. The drive has no power, and won't eject. On reboot the drive works fine.

Could be a power management issue?

Obvious solution - turn off sleep. Hoping for a better one.

I've tried updating the firmware on the optical drives, and downloading all windows updates, but hasn't solved the problem. Considered updating the motherboard BIOS, but don't want to risk breaking anything.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Himble.

Try setting the PCI Express Link State Power Management feature to off in the Power Options (Via Control Panel). I'm not at all sure whether that will help but it's worth a try. :)
