Bluray Audio Thru HDMI?

I have recieved my Optimus laptop this morning (very pleased, will write reviews and pics later) and have tried playing a bluray through the hdmi output, through a hdmi receiver etc to get hd sound, but it always outputs standard def sound and the integrated graphics light is always on . any help would be appreciated! Try this:
Go to the bottom right of your screen, right click on the speaker symbol, play back devices, then make sure your HDMI device is enable and also set as default. You'll need to do this each time you you want to switch your outputs from laptop to TV/hdmi reciever etc.

i found out what the problem was, the supplied bluray player on the laptop wasn't 'good enough' to stream hd audio :/. upgraded now though and it works a treat

yeah me too wel it was powerdvd8 and i needed powerdvd 11 ultra so i now have that and it works a treat thanks for the help as well as have checked that too now
