Bought a new laptop last February, Looking to buy a new one

So I bought a new laptop last February to upgrade my ASUS laptop which I've used for more than 7 years. My current laptop is okay but its speed is kind of slow for my preference. So I am planning to buy Surface Pro 4 or wait for Surface Pro 5. I'm also considering Macbook Air since it's very slim and the OS is relatively good according to other people. My dilemma is whether I should get a loan to buy a new laptop or not... I have an online business so I really do need a laptop but I am not sure if I am just making excuses just to spend money.
