Brand New Desktop keeps crashing

Only received prebuilt set up desktop on Friday for my son Xmas present, set up pc today . Working fine 2 hrs in and pc is crashing on every application. Even cashing playing YouTube HELP

I’m trying to attach a file of what the screen looks like but it’s essentially a load on white blocks I think an issue with gpu

This is what keeps happening on everything after a few minutes. Can’t even view windows

This is a pc specialist machine bought dietary from the pc specialist website and delivered directly. I can give you the order number . I ordered this Sunday it was delivered on Friday and set up this morning. I can give you the order number if you want . I tried calling the helpline but was on hold for ages

Was working fine for the first few hours then this just keeps coming up . Will do a hard restart and writhing 5 mins same thing again can you please tell me how to get a refund or replacement?

I’m pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff , but I would think even if it’s not the strongest set up for gaming this should run the basic programmes like YouTube ect with no issues what so ever . If you can please revert ASAP or tell me when to contact to get this sorted my son is pretty upset about it 😟

Ok thanks I will contact them then as this must be an issue with something in the set up . Do u think if I ramped the setting right down on the gpu it would make a difference just in case it’s overloading ?

take the side of the case off and make sure everything is seated properly, and make sure all the cables are firmly connected, stuff can come lose in transit, and your warranty wont be affected as PCS have an open case policy

No, it’s either a hardware issue with the GPU, or an issue with the gpu drivers.

Worth first running DDU to clear out the drivers and reinstall the latest

If it’s still failing and especially if you’re seeing that artefact in before the windows login screen, it suggests a GPU failure.

You could also try reseating the GPU in case it’s been shifted in transit
