Broken laptop case screw

Recently, my Optimus laptop fell to the floor and one of the screws holding the battery compartment got broken.
Now, the battery falls off whenever I lift the laptop up!

It's been more than 5 years since I had my laptop and I am probably due a new computer now. But before
then I will like to know if anyone has encountered a similar problem and what hacks you did to fix it.

It's more likely a bit of plastic that's broken rather than the screw, can you not glue it back in place?

I did try super glue but didn't work for me. Now using PVC tape to hold it in place. Hope it lasts till my next order!

I've never had much success with plastic and super glue. Clean it all up and look for a glue specifically for plastic.
