Hi, I found it on an ebay shop Fittiville computers, and around £350. I don't want to play the high end games as well like the biggest one I have is probably TF2

That machine is very unbalanced for gaming purposes, 8-core processor - just not needed for most games and a GeForce 7025 which is an integrated motherboard which I suspect won't be very good for gaming in general (though note I have no experience of using one).

Someone may be able to make you a better PCS spec, though I'm not sure for 350.

That GPU is terrible - completely inadequate for gaming. It has a 3dmark benchmark score of 24 (http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=GeForce+7025+%2F+nForce+630a). To put that in perspective, a top end GTX 670 would have a benchmark score of around 5000. I know benchmarks arent everything, but they are a reasonable guide.

On the other hand the rest of the system looks okay. If you put a reasonably cheap GPU in there (say up to £50 cost) it should do fairly well.

Make sure the computer comes with Windows or that you already have a copy (or that you are knowledgeable enough to use an alternative operating system).

Thank you for the answers just what I needed, I have given rep for people who answered. Any other tips what I should look for on a budget price if you were to buy a pc :)

The FX-4100 or FX-4170 + dedicated graphics card, what sort of games do you play? If you are not playing very demanding games you could consider an apu cpu with an integrated gpu.

The sort I have on steam now are games like TF2, bioshock 1+2, minecraft, left for dead 2 and gta that sort of games. I already have a ps3 but I have a lot of friends that play a lot of pc games so I want a something that can run games even if its at low level just to join in

Do you also need an OS? What is the maximum you are prepare to pay?

In terms of what PCS could do for that price and given that you dont need an operating system, monitor, mouse or keyboard for your budget you'd be looking at something like:

If you didn't need the DVD drive then you could save about £10 by taking it off, but this could make it quite difficult to install some software (i.e. you would be restricted to online only stuff).

In comparison to your original post, it has a slower CPU (although the one you posted would have been overkill for games really) but has at least a reasonable GPU for gaming - you aren't going to be able to play at max settings, but it should run fine at low/medium settings for most games.
