Budget laptop for gaming and editing

I'm looking for a reasonably cheap laptop that I can use for gaming (mostly minecraft, some GTA) but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to buying laptops. I also need to be able to do some video editing as part of my uni course. A decent sized screen would be preferable.

As I am a student I need to try get this laptop as cheaply as possible (under £800 if possible?)
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!

Is 17" ok for you? As you're a student you can likely get windows cheap/free from your college/uni so should it be left off?

Those seem really good, but would they not be quite expensive? Looking for something on a bit of a budget (Around £800).
Thanks for the reply!

800 is a good aim for this level you'd be surprised what you can pack in.

This is a 17" without Windows, but if you want Windows, there's enough spare in the budget to add it, if you don't need Windows, I'd edit the configure and add a 120gb ssd as a primary drive for added performance.

That seems good thanks! Yeah I think I'll be able to get a copy of windows, so will look at adding an SSD.
Thanks for your help!
