What performance do you want to improve? In what circumstances is it failing to perform as you would like?

When you run games, can you monitor your GPU performance? (GeForce Experience can do this for you, as can other software such as HWiNFO.) If you're running at 100% GPU use, upgrade the graphics card. If you're not, the first priority should be the CPU. My guess is that you'll be GPU-limited in most scenarios, as the 3600 XT is a solid CPU, even if it's now essentially four years old.

That said, the number one upgrade you'll want to consider is storage. If you're playing games off a hard drive, that will not be a good time. A second SSD, 1TB or 2TB, would be something like £50-100 and would be a big upgrade.
