I am thinking about building a pc for my girlfriends cousin. I have never done this before.
The pc would be used for internet browsing, listening to music and watching dvds. No gaming.
This is what i have so far.
Pentium 4 3.2ghz
Asus p5w dh deluxe motherboard only, no screws or anything else that came with it
4x1 gig sticks of ddr2 corsair ram 800mhz
ati radeon x1650 pro
Dvd/cd drives x2
Would you guys be willing to help me build it and offer advice?
I need to get a cheap psu and pc case, but apart from that i can't think of anything im missing. I know there are other parts im missing, but for now my mind has gone blank.
Any parts i might need would need to be picked up on the cheap, probably via ebay unless you guys have better suggestions.
The motherboard was actually part of my original pc specialist order. When the MB died i sent my pc back to PCS, i bought a new MB and the old one was sent off for repir. A few weeks after i got my pc back i received the MB back, repaired i presume but never actually checked or used by myself until now.
Opinions welcome.
