Buying First PC

Hi all,

I have never owned a gaming PC and having just bought the xbox series X and kind of wishing i had opted for the PC option instead as many of my friends game on PC.

so here i am looking for some advice,

At the moment i do not have much time to do a custom buid however i would like to upgrade the system as i go so i thought if i purchase a entry-midrange system i can overhaul it a bit at a time, but it needs to be something that will get me up and running straight away.

The PC will be used for Uni work and playing Warzone (this takes up too much time already to play another game)

I was looking to spend around £700-£900 at the moment, i Have the PC specialist Tornado A5X in mind. Would this be suitable?

From the buying guide in the Stickies it recomended the AMD B550 Motherboard which i know this doesn't have so would look to swap this out soon.

Processor- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 X Unlocked Processor
- Hexa-core
- 3.8 GHz / 4.4 GHz
- 36 MB cache

RAM- 16 GB DDR4 (2400 MHz)
- 32 GB maximum installable RAM
Graphics card- AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
- 6 GB
Storage- 2 TB HDD (7200 rpm)
- 512 GB SSD

My gaming monitor i have just bought so that my xbox would run 120fps is LG Ultragear 27GL650F (144hz, 5ms, 1ms response motion blur) - Buy LG Ultragear 27GL650F 27” Full HD IPS LCD Gaming Monitor - Black | Free Delivery | Currys

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Mav

As soon as you change the motherboard you invalidate the warranty

I am aware of this, my point is more aiming towards the current spec of the computer and not about warranty issues.

For a similar config looking at about £150 more (if you take the CPU saving into account) for a PCS custom build...but that includes the better motherboard and faster RAM.

I can't get it identical as I can't plug in the cheaper 3600 (-£50)/3600X(-£43) GPU as it's pre-order.

I'd also spec a modular PSU if future upgrades are in your plans, but again I can't as it's pre-order on the configurator.
