Can I connect a Valve Index to the USB C on an IONICO 17"?

I'm about to order a 17.3" IONICO, the only thing I'm not sure about is will my Valve Index work with the display port over USB C connection?

I've read somewhere that it's possible to use a USB C to display port adaptor as long as the port is connected to the dedicated GPU rather than the integrated GPU.

Can anyone confirm whether or not this works? Thanks!

I could connect my usb C oculus quest to my ionico 15 for what it's worth. Although I just use airlink now.

Not sure unfortunately. I think that may be one for PCS to confirm. If the USB-C is from the motherboard then I would think not. Does the laptop not have DP?

The laptop will need to be extremely powerful to run the Index at a decent level. I'm on a 2080 for mine and it's about right, anything lower I think would be a real limitation.

The USB-C embedded Display Port 1.4 is straight connected to the Nvidia RTX GPU. That's a fact I've seen. I've not a VR for rest of the answer.

PS: same for HDMI 2.1 port (driven by RTX).
