Capturing videos from Xbox 360 with my PC?

I was wondering if this is possible? Or do I need a capture card? Basically is there any way I can capture my gameplay from Xbox onto my PC easily and cost efficiently?

I want to try and get up a Gears of War 3 gameplay channel as I happen to be pretty good and thought it might be fun.

Unfortunately I don't have the kind of cash currently I guess I'll have to save then!

you could always set up a camera and align it with the edges of the screen, i managed to do it and it didnt look to bad, although my camera only gave me like 10mins in 720p due to card size
