cd rom not working - what could be the cause??

my cd-rom was working yesterday , but this morning nothing is happening .it is not detecting any cd or dvd or software cd. Althought , it is the bios.
can anyone suggest a solution ???

Have you got it working again yet?

Check different types of media, i.e. DVD's / CD's.

no still nothing.cd and dvd that work yesterday isn't today. could it be due something move inside?

Possible - is the drive detected and showing up in "My Computer"?

To check - open up the case. There should be one SATA power and one SATA data cable connected to the drive. The SATA data cable shold also be connected to the motherboard. It might be an idea to disconnect these and re-connect them, in case they came loose in transit and have managed to dis-lodge themselves.
