Charger port

My charger port has become damaged/loose/something, and my laptop is not really charging unless I hold the charger in/use sellotape. I am unsure how the warranty works (laptop under a year old). Do I take it into a normal computer place and give them the details of pcspecialist, or do you manage your own repairs?
Thanks

PCS do warranty repairs themselves.

And from the T&Cs here: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/terms/
7.8 Should you take any goods purchased from us to a 3rd party and have them attempt to diagnose or repair a fault on the computer, you may VOID all warranties on the order and we will not cover the costs of any onsite or call out charges as we do not provide or charge you for onsite warranties. If you have any problems with your order you must contact us for advice and if necessary obtain an RMA number and return the item to us through the specified returns procedure.

Obviously warranty repairs do not cover accidental damage, I'd read section 7 of the T&Cs, if your laptop is less than 12 months old you will still be in warranty, though note there are some things (like laptop batteries) that are not covered for 12 months.

It is under a year old, so should be in warranty. How do I go about getting a repair from pcspecialist? Do I phone them up to negotiate a pick-up, or should I post it? I no longer have the original packaging.

You will need to talk to them to arrange an RMA or go through your account on the main PCS website to arrange an RMA, do NOT send it back without arranging an RMA, when you do arrange an RMA PCS will organise DPD to collect it.
