I have been looking at the various chasis available and I have a few questions regarding the Chasis choices if you could oblige:
Chasis:
13.3" Mirage - This is my perfect size. Is it not possible to get an i5/i7 in these? Any upcoming plans to provide more 13.3 choice?
14.1" Xenon - I really, really like this one. The only major problem I have is the lack of graphic options available. Is it possible to get something better than the intel?
Given my requirments, it looks like PCSpecialist only offers 15.6" as the smallest laptop with decent graphics. I have some further questions (mainly about the Xenon):
1. I read somewhere that you resell a mix of Clevo bases and others. As the Clevos have a great reputation for build quality, can you please tell me which ones are Clevo as that would influence my choice?
2. From looking at the stock images of the cases there are no logos/badges. I really like this, can you confirm that you don't stick a PCSpecialist or any other badge on it please?
3. I notice nearly all of the configuration options require me to select a DVD/Bluetooth drive. Is it possible to not include this so at a later date I can have a secondary harddrive? (Or even at order time).
4. The battery option here: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/enigmaIII-540/ says I can order two 6 six cell batteries. Does this mean that one is an external spare that I swap out, or can both be fitted into the laptop at the same time to boost battery life?
5. If I choose the nVidia 540M 2GB card, does this mean that it will fall back to the internal card? ('Optimus'?) to help with battery life.
6. The enigma II says "Typical Battery Life - Tested 3 hours 36 minutes playing muted DVD with Core i7 CPU & 8GB of RAM.". Is there anything I can do to boost this?
7. The Xenon says "Typical Battery Life Typical 4 Hour battery life under UMA mode". What is UMA mode ?
8. I understand if you can't answer, but when do you plan on having the next chasis refresh and will it include any < 15.6" laptops ?
I would LOVE to have a 13.3" / 14.0" laptop with a Optimus GFX card and an i5 or i7. Do you have any plans for these?
