Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to look at my post and query.

Looking to order the below, primarily for Battlefield 1 and Project Cars 2. I know a desktop would be the better bet and for budget, I'd get more for my money, but a laptop is a more convenient option.

I'm not looking for 4k display, HD is good enough. I'll generally use the display and if/when I get the chance, will hook it up to the TV in the front room - 46" LG.

I know the below is a bit overkill for my needs, but I'd like to run AAA for a good fews years at ultra/high. Fairly certain that SLi will keep me up to speed for a little while.

My main issue is the upcoming 1080m cards which will probably be announced the day after I order! Not really worried about having the 1080m unless price and temps at load are similar to what is out now. Just reckon there will be a price drop on the 900 cards.

If I've made any glaring omissions or daft inclusions, please point them out. I already have a separate mouse and keyboard and don't need bloatware or anti virus.

Thanks again for taking the time to look over my post

I would suggest waiting for the 1080m, single GPU = less noise, less heat

Hi Keynes, thanks for the advice. Do you think the 1080m will have the longevity of 2 x 970m's though? Looking to keep running for a few years with this machine.

Thanks

Thanks for the info and the link Spyder, appreciate it. Hopefully, Nvidia announce 1080m and prices soon. See the rumour mill has begun already, so any upcoming news would be good.
