Yeah will try to clean it but am just a little dodgy about opening it up, don't want to muck it up!

get some compressed air, I'd be a little careful of opening a laptop.

Or I could just hope that the CPU fries so the insurance has to give me some money to buy a replacement from pcs! For compressed air though, what do I do, just squirt the stuff into the fan whilst it is running?

lol, go for the insurance jobby.
With the compressed air, make sure everything is turned off, unplugged, i'd take battery out, just little squirts of air at the fans. Can you see where the dust is? When I cleaned out my old laptop after it died, there was loads clogged in the heatsink. The compressed air made it clump together (imagine inside a tumble dyer, how it sticks together) and I eased it out, It didn't help as the laptop was dead anyway, but it explained why the laptop kept shutting down and restarting whilst I was playing the sims 3. lol

There seems to be dust on the blades of the fan but I can't see any further than that!
