How is it going everyone, i was looking to buy a new laptop as soon as the chassis i need is back in stock (and i can get the german keyboard layout)
It'd be mainly used for playing games and making games, involving 3d modelling/rendering and stuff like that, hence the beefy cpu.
Still, could someone take a look over it?

I'm pretty confident in what i choose, but i guess it's always better to have the community take a look over it.

The only two things i'm not sure about are the sound/network cards.

The killer network adapter is only a few bucks more, but i don't really think there are big improvements for a ~30mbit/s connection

And regarding the sound card:
I'll be using sennheiser hd558 headphones with the foam mod (got them fairly cheap)
Would it be worth it to upgrade the soundcard at all?
I'm not much of an audiophile and i have a bigger soundsystem in my room for music.
The main reason for me to upgrade would be immersion in games (modded skyrim for example)
Also: Is it worth getting an amp/dac in that price range?

Any help on anything i asked would be appreciated!
Cheers!

Regarding the soundcard, that's a basic 2 channel output. Depends on your setup, if you've got speakers, then you would benefit from an external soundcard if you're using 5.1 or 7.1 processing. Personally I'd always opt for Asus Xonar's over Creative as they're just better generally.

The Killer card is highly beneficial for online gaming mmorpg's etc as it has a much faster and consistent ping rate. They're certainly only necessary for serious online gamers though, although I would argue that their drivers are often more reliable than Intels.

The system itself looks bang on, and of course would slam anything you developed against the 60fps wall :)

Thank you for your help!
Well i'm spending 2 grand so i might as well throw in the killer card :D
For the sound card the xonar looks like a great option, the question is would it make a difference worth a hundred bucks on my headphones?
The xonar would only be paired with my headphones, i'll get the wenger ibex 17" or maybe even something bigger with a complete setup in it. Meaning: power Brick, Laptop, cooling pad, mouse, mousepad, headphones, maybe an external drive or some small techy stuff aaaaand maybe an ext. Soundcard/dac/amp (Xonar u7 in this case) so i need one dedicated to that backpack setup :D
Or is there even something better? Maybe something mor bang for my buck?

Again, thanks in advance!
