paid about £600 for my last pc from here 3 and half years ago, seems to be geting slower all the time even thogh i have replaced the hd with a new one so cant be software problem, so thought it was time to upgrade to a shiny new one
so i put this together,
dont want to spend a fortune but want a reasonable spec to last me longer than the last one
to save a bit of money i havent included an operating system im hoping they will put me vista on it using my old vista serial no, has anyone had this done ?

If it's an OEM version of the OS (which it would be if it was on a PC from PCS) then it cannot be moved to another PC, OEM versions are limited to the machine they are bought with - thats why its cheaper

it says on my spec of old pc
64 BIT WINDOWS® VISTA Home Premium (inc CD & License) (£69)
is this transferable to another pc ?

Never mind it if will or not

If you can stretch it, I would definitely get Windows 7 and ditch the old Vista.

For one...its better, but also, Vista will soon be really old, and not supported by MS. This could happen in the lifetime of your PC

Food for thought.

PCS only supply OEM versions of OS's (afaik) so if its on your old PCS machine it will be an OEM version and therefore will not be transferable.

think im going to get windows7 put on it
so what u think of the pc spec i chose ?
i use pc for genral office stuf
plus a bit of picture and vidoe editing
plus a high graphics model aircraft flight simulator
