Ciao! reviews

Well, after receiving an email asking me to write a review on Ciao!, I took the time to register on there and write what I thought was a decent review. Since my entire experience with PCS has been positive, I wrote a positive review, only to be met with cynicism from people who, I suspect, weren't in the least bit interested in buying from PCS.

I see B1rky has posted there and got a positive response. Anyone else put a review on there?

The problem is that generally, people who have a bad experience WILL kick up as fuss, yet alot of people who have a positive experience (like me) wont post such reviews. You then have the problem of the people who kick up the fuss being so shallow minded as to think that problems DO happen, and put them selves in the mind set that its the be all end all that the company is rubbish and wont help you. Such is life.

I wrote a review on there I think not long after I got my pc, wasn't anything special, but I think it expressed my opinions. I'll admit that I had a carrot dangled in front of my face in the form of a free 4gb pen drive, but I would have probably done the review anyway had it crossed my mind.

anyway, like I said, it wasn't anything special, but within minutes I had recieved criticism, not because the review was positive, but because of my "reviewing skills". I had a couple of random nobodies "review" my review and gave me an average score for it, with some friendly advice (well more conceited than friendly) saying I should go back and work on it some more, and if he found it to be an improvement, he would reappraise it for me!

I felt so honoured that a few complete strangers I couldn't care less about thought that I was so worthy of their opinions, or that I actually wanted them. I found it strange that there are certain types of people who troll and trawl these review sites, with the SOLE purpose of critiquing reviews posted by others.

that was going on for 12 months ago now, and I haven't been back since, so I have no idea what other gems of friendly advice have been left for me since.

I got a 4gb pen drive out of it though, which still works to this day, and which I have had a lot of use from.

Yeah, to be honest i wrote my review for the free pen drive! (Can never have enough pen drives!) Took me about 5 minutes, sent the link to PCS and got my free drive! I haven't been back on Ciao since! Ah well if i got a good review from people i cant complain, but i don't particually care, a reviews a review, if people don't like you're opinion, sod em
