CMOS/NVRAM boot issue

Hi all, looking for some help. My laptop has been having problems starting up. It powers up and shuts off 4 or 5 times, never showing anything on the screen, before eventually booting up, but then I get a couple of messages saying “A first boot or NVRAM reset condition has been detected” and then it gives a message re the CMOS (I forgot to note the exact wording). I have changed the CMOS battery and done a BIOS reset to default but I am still having this problem. Anyone give any advice on what to try next? Thanks.

Got the other messages as follows;
The CMOS battery is bad or was recently replaced,
then
A first boot or NVRAM reset condition has been detected,
then,
The CMOS defaults were loaded.

I'm stuck as what to try next.

Is this a PCSpecialist system? Can you post your full specs from the order page?

I have had the exact same problem for a year or so now and I have changed the CMOS battery, updated the bios, and reseated the RAM.
