Computer build suggestions/recommendations

Hi there,

I am thinking of retiring my 6 year old computer and getting a new one. I have a budget of around £4000. Extra storage for me would be key, as I only have around 1.4tb of storage on my current computer. I would ideally like to be able to play most of, if not all of my steam library (196 games)(also would like to mention I have Ark..) without the risk of damaging the hard drive with regular in/deinstallations.
I would also like to be able to play games like Warhammer Total War 3 and Darktide on high graphics without too many issues. Other games I play include Halo Infinite, Lord of the Rings Online, Starship Troopers Extermination, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries and occasionally Elder Scrolls Online.

The monitor I use is a Black Hawk G-Master g2730hsu.
I mentioned Ark as its very very badly optimised and with all the dlc requires around 400gb of storage

For £4000 you must get a better monitor. That one is a 1080p 27" TN 75Hz display. Brand new it's under £100 and I wouldn't even pay that for it. You have the budget to get the best gaming display on the planet: the Alienware AW3423DWF and pair it with about the best gaming display there is too. The Alienware is about £900. It's QD-OLED, the best technology there is for gaming displays, ultrawide 165Hz. It's the complete other end of the monitor spectrum.

You could go for a different choice, like a 4K display, but I'd go with the Alienware seven days a week and twice on Sundays. If you go for a lesser display, spending £4000 on a system doesn't feel worthwhile to me.

Here's the system I'd recommend to go with it. It's a bit over budget, but maybe you don't mind. If you do, savings can be had in various places.
