Cosmos 6 Motherboard Upgrade

Hi. I bought a laptop with Core i3 7100H and GT940MX.. this is getting a bit long in the tooth now, i'd like to upgrade to 7300HQ + GTX 950m or perhaps 7700HQ..
I know these are soldered components, so to upgrade you have to buy a new Cosmos motherboard. (OPTION 1)

Also, I think that the next generation (or perhaps the optimus series) had slightly different IO, with 2 mini display ports on the side instead of a VGA port. This was equipped with GTX 1050 too. Whilst yes the motherboard will likely not lineup with the old IO, do the internal screw holes line up? A dremel can soon fix a non compatible io shield (something I have done on a dell desktop before, which is still working from 2013! intel Q6600). Furthermore the cooling solutions might not match up. (OPTION 2)

I'm aware this will breach warranties, but it's worth a try.
Roughly how much would option 1 cost? If it is less than £300 I will consider it. Otherwise I don't think I will.

Also I do not have an account with PC Specialist, if I do I do not remember the details. No proof of purchase either. This might be impossible

The motherboards are specific to the chassis, so you’d only be able to buy the motherboards that are paired with that chassis.
With new CPU and GPU refreshes, the chassis changes.

For a new motherboard CPU and GPU combo you’d be looking around 1k depending on the components.

If you bought it through PCS then you still have an account with them, just need to call them to find it.

If you bought it second hand then it’s worthless without the warranty being transferred.

Ok I don't think I will go ahead with changing the motherboard but I appreciate the help, thankyou.
