Cosmos IV drivers

I'm planning to purchase a Cosmos IV and install Linux on it (most probably Ubuntu 16.04 for the time being). However when proceeding through the pages I was warned that some "Linux is no longer supported on this configuration".

I've historically had driver issues with my WiFi card and so this had me a little concerned. Has anyone had issues, or is this nothing to worry about?

Hi JCoates,

I've just bought a Cosmos IV, and have it running well with Ubuntu 16.04.

Everything works out of the box with 16.04 except for the webcam and the Flight Mode fn button.

So Wifi, Bluetooth, screen, keyboard, touchpad, mic, speakers all work perfectly.

I'll post a fix to the webcam issue once I've solved it.

The warning is their probably because PCS have to cover themselves, I have never had problems with Linux Distros and have just ordered my third laptop from them. Ubuntu should be fine and, hopefully the webcam is easy to fix, as i posted on other thread, download Cheese webcam from the Ubuntu Software Centre and that should do it.
