So, as i just asked to pcs this morning, there is no amd 17" laptop that will be done in the near futur by pcs (and my current 8 years old laptop is dying XD).
So, i'm wondering if should go to asus (curse you monopolies ), or stay here and ask for an intel recoil.

I have some questions :

Should i go to the 3080gpu ?
How are the 2 PSU ? i'm afraid to have 2 monster bricks ^^"
How is the cooling of the laptop without cooling pad

So, i'm looking for a gaming laptop that can survive as long as my previous one (8 years)
The budget is 3000 euros, more or less (more if i should go to the 3080 - that would be justified to expand the lifespan)
I may need to do some VM stuff.
(but i will mainly use it to play game, from old one to the newest)

I guess it's all the information requiered to ask for help

(sorry for the double post ^^")


And a last question, should i stay with recoil, or go to other model (like ionico or defiance) ?

The recoil is a desktop replacement... so the power + thermals are better than for a thin laptop.. The CPU on the recoil is the desktop variant and not the mobile counterpart...

I guess depends on what you play and how you intend to use it.. for example i have a Ionico with rtx 3070 and i am very pleased and happy with it. I can run the newest games on high to ultra settings - of course the games will run faster on the recoil. I play COD Warzone and Dota2 .. if i run these on the recoil or on Ionico, the difference is very small.. so for me it made sense to buy the Ionico for mobility and comfort.

The price difference is also a marker, as the recoil is more expensive than Ionico, for example.
If you are happy with more performance at the cost of mobility and comfort then to with recoil..
