Hey everyone,
I received this laptop from PCS yesterday.
Chassis & Display
Optimus Series: 15.6" Matte Full HD LED Widescreen (1920x1080)
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i5 Dual Core Mobile Processor i5-3230M (2.60GHz) 3MB
Memory (RAM)
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 (2 x 4GB)
Graphics Card
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660M - 2.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11
Memory - 1st Hard Disk
750GB WD SCORPIO BLACK WD7500BPKT, SATA 3 Gb/s, 16MB CACHE (7200 rpm)
(please ask if you need more specs)
Now, I've been having an awesome time on Torchlight 2 and Fifa 13 looks great too, but the frame rate on CS:S is terrible, I'm averaging about 30 fps on high / default settings..
Lowering the settings makes barely any difference. I've read through the sticky regarding white-listing games and whilst the Nvidia GPU activity monitor shows that CS:S is using the dedi gfx, it really doesn't feel like it is.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Al
