This is making thermal paste a thing of the past, more so important for laptops, just use this in place of paste and you’re good for the lifetime of the laptop, it really is excellent
yep, just make sure when doing a laptop you've got enough for both CPU & GPU

On a desktop, you shouldn’t need to for the life of the system

silly question, why do desktops not need thermal paste replacements but laptops once a yr? is it because laptops are more enclosed and tighter room etc

Yeah, laptops are much smaller coolers and heatsinks, so temps are far higher, paste is has a silicon paste base that essentially dries out and as it does looses thermal transfer efficiency.

Plus I think as laptops are being moved about so much the heatsink application has far higher tollerances and pressure to keep it in place which also means the paste is effectively pushed out eventually over time by the force
