CPU Upgrade suggestions

Hey guys,
I currently have an Intel® Core™i7-2600k, looking to upgrade.
I'm leaning towards the 7700k but need a bundle for motherboard and RAM as I have DDR3 and the motherboard bundles I've looked at all have DDR4.

Does anyone know if PC Specialist do motherboard bundles with RAM?
Cheers folks, happy Cyber Monday.

hi there. the i7 7700k is a great processor to go to, however is compatible solely with a very specific DDR3-L memory, common DDR3 will result in dead components. i understand if this would be frustrating to here, that ur ram probably doesnt work with the cpu. if u do have ddr3-L ram try searching for a ddr3-L motherboard and search if that motherboard is compatible with the i7 7700k. you will have to buy them separately as no bundles are available. btw if a certain someone on these forums say 8th gen make 7th gen i7 7700k obsolete, just ignore them. if u don't have ddr3l, try buying a ddr4 set of ram, they re worth it. hope i helped as much as possible. happy cyber monday.

The i7 7700k is a poor purchase now with Intel's 8th Gen being out. It's just not a good idea to buy it.

Unfortunately PCSpecialist don't actually sell motherboards as upgrades (I think it's something to do with the fact that a new mobo, a new CPU and new RAM is virtually a brand new machine and they don't sell parts for building your own machine, only as upgrades to what you already have).

Also note that if you got your Windows OS with your machine, the Windows license will be tied to your current motherboard and will not be transferable to your new motherboard/CPU combination.
