ok so a couple questions,

why the CORSAIR 650W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET? what is different to the other 650w?
Is the 8 core more than enough is 12 absolute over kill ?
Is the AMD cooler more than sufficient?
and can i get away have less mhz on the RAM ? or should you stick as high as possible?
I was also just looking at that IIYAMA monitor, should that be more than enough for the what you need?
Also what does it matter which motherboard i go for ? do they really differ all that much from what is available in the drop menu when customising ?

thanks for doing this btw

Better quality PSU for the GPU your running.

Is the 8 core more than enough is 12 absolute over kill ?
12 core wouldn’t improve performance, you can even lower to the 3600 (non x) if you want to save some more money. 3600 is the sweet spot for gaming.

Is the AMD cooler more than sufficient?
Yes, very good

AMD needs high frequency, any less and you’ll start to lose fram

I was also just looking at that IIYAMA monitor, should that be more than enough for the what you need?
That’s an entry level 1440p gaming monitor.

You could drop down to the b450 I’d you want actually, you’d have to replace the m2 drive with a PCIe 3 one like the intel, it wouldn’t be as future proof but doesn’t affect performance apart from the M2 speeds.
Motherboard types offer different feature sets. They don’t affect performance (apart from M2 speeds in this instance)

No worries...figured I was just losing my marbles 🤣
Is it just me or have prices risen? I'm not at all surprised that they have given the situation, but where I'd normally easily get an RTX 2070 Super into a £1500 build, now I'm having to make sacrifices.....

Can't say I'd noticed to be honest....however, I just specced up my system from January and it is £13 more, not including 5 day dispatch so that would be nearer £40 so, I'd imagine the price rise may be more with higher spec parts
Will need to investigate further, wonder if it’s a particular part that’s getting low on stocks.
