DBAN Bootable USB

I made a bootable usb that has DBAN on it so I can wipe my pc securely.
When I go into my bios and I choose to boot my usb, it freezes for a second and then it doesn't do anything (It didn't load.)

I have seen people with the same problem on different forums but I couldn't find a solution and I hope someone could help.

Hi there,

How to do the USB stick:
1. Please follow the link found here - https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
2. Select Download tool now and save the file onto your computer (most likely download folder)
3. Please run the media creation tool that has been downloaded
4. A box should appear displaying Getting things ready wait for the terms of service to load and press ACCEPT
5. Please select Create installation media for another pc and then press NEXT
6. On the next screen please select the UK, edition Windows 10 and Architecture X64 Bit.
7. Lastly, select USB Flash drive and click Next
8. From the final list select your USB drive and then Next again, this should install a copy of windows on to your USB drive.

How to reinstall Windows completely:
Once USB has been created, follow these instructions. This will wipe all information on the C drive!
1. Insert Windows 10 USB Download windows 10 on to USB (this will format the USB and it must be 8GB or above)
2. Power on the computer and continuously press F7 (laptop), F8 (asus motherboard) or F12 (Gigabyte motherboard) key for boot menu
3. Select UEFI – USB from the menu
4. Once in windows setup, select language and time zones and skip entering any product keys
5. Please follow the steps until you reach the upgrade or custom installation page
6. Select Custom
7. From the list please locate your main SSD/HDD (usually disk 0) and delete until only 1 disk 0 (unallocated space) is present
8. Highlight this drive and select Next
9. Windows should be installing completely afresh

What's the spec of your PC? What PCS laptop is it / clevo chassis or what spec especially the motherboard is the desktop?

Edit: And what storage devices do you have in it?

On the DBAN website here it indicates that the free version (DBAN) does not support UEFI booting. That will be your problem.

I never looked at it properly. Thanks for pointing it out. Do you know any alternatives?
I don't I'm afraid. If I needed to be sure a drive was clean I'd drop it into a caddy, plug it into another PC, and use Ccleaner's wipe finction to erase it.
